I am humbly honored/soooo excited that I will be in conversation with the great leader, Mary Tal thanks to IDEX!
Mary Tal is founder of Whole World Women’s Association…
IDEX is honored to have the leader of our partner Whole World Women’s Association, Mary Tal, join us on
Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4-5:30
at San Francisco’s Women’s Building for:
Living on the Fence: Mary Tal and South Africa’s Whole World Women’s Association
In conversation with award-winning writer Sharon Bridgforth, Mary will share the story of her own personal journey as a refugee, her founding WWWA and the groundbreaking work they are doing to integrate and empower refugees.
WWWA uses storytelling extensively in their work with women refugees in South Africa to help them process their experiences, overcome their challenges and embrace their strengths. Together, the women that Mary works with have developed the power of creative expression to address global challenges like HIV/AIDS, women’s empowerment and economic revitalization.
I am really excited to say that I’m working with allgo, in Austin, Texas…
