    The love conjure/blues Text Installation

    The love conjure/blues Text Installation is a multimedia production based on the book, love conjure/blues.

    In creating this piece I was interested in invoking the text as a LIVING body of work. Film maker, Jen Simmons and I created a series of shorts based on the book. We projected the shorts on three LARGE screens in the room. Our goal was to create a circular environment for celluloid cast members, the performer and the audience to co-exist in.     Me At Northwestern

    11/20 & 11/21 2009 I had a blast Conducting the audience at Northwestern University in reading delta dandi with me. The performance was part of the solo/black/woman series presented by the departments of Performance Studies and Theatre, and funded in part with a grant from Mellon Foundation. I am proud to say that I served as Artist-In-Residence in Performance Studies Fall 2009.
