I had the great honor to be on program with E. Patrick Johnson March 29, 2009. The evening was focused on oral history centered on the lives and experiences of Southern African American gays and lesbians/highlighting the deep historical and cultural connections between Chicago and the American South, while bridging the gap between scholarship and performance.
