BIO
Virginia Grise is an award-winning theatre artist whose work pushes against the boundaries of traditional theatre and live performance. Her published work includes blu (Yale University Press), The Panza Monologues (University of Texas Press, forthcoming) and an edited a volume of Zapatista communiqués titled Conversations with Don Durito (Autonomedia Press). blu was a recipient of the Yale Drama Series Award, a finalist for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Latino/a Playwriting Award and Alliance Theatre’s Kendeda Award. Virginia holds a MFA in Writing for Performance from the California Institute of the Arts.
